Detroit, the most populous city in the state of Michigan welcomes a wide range of national retailers from various parts of the world to open their retail stores.
Carhatt- a Michigan maker of rugged jeans, jackets and work apparels, previously do not have any stores in Detroit, but now it has opened his first Detroit store in the midtown area having a three storey building at 5800 Cass Ave. It offers a wide range of activities such as Wholesale Food market, Hot Cat craft beer bar, Selden Standard Restaurant, Shinola watches and bicycles. With a large number of employees, previously it has sold its products through various wholesale outlets,but now it has started its own retail stores and now has established its retail store in sixteen different locations.
Similarly, Meijer has opened its second store in Detroit. With the opening of this store, the area where it meets Mc Nichols is changing. Likewise, three other national retailers had opened their stores. Danish footwear, Ecco leather goods store and Vineyard Vines are included in this. The vineyard vines have opened its store in the Troy Mall .It deals with everyday luxury essentials and clothing and footwear for both men as well as women. This is actually opened at two locations in Detroit-Michigan and the Midwest. It is located in a 2700 sq foot area which was previously occupied by Ralph Laurean Home and another retail store of the same brand has opened its store in the location where A/X Armani Exchange was located. At its 4,338 sq foot store it sells ties, belts, shirts, shorts and bags for men, women and children.
Another new clothing brand Kit and Ace is going to open its shop in downtown Detroit. It is opening its store in more than 3000 square foot area on Woodward Avenue. This brand deals with luxury apparel, accessories and lifestyle items for both men and women. It is also opening its T-shirt store at 4240 Cass Avenue in Midtown.
Unlike other brands, John Varvatos has opened a store in a 4600 sq foot in 1500 Wooward in Detroit. For some people, the leather jacket and jeans are perfect, but there are many people the clothing seems pricey. Apart from jeans and jackets, it deals with books, electric guitars, vinyl records, photos of musicians, shoes, sunglasses, watches and jewelry and many more.
Thus, these are some of the brands that have targeted the City of Detroit during its economic resurgence.
